Nike is an artist who works when the city sleeps - late at night, alone in her studio, with cd's spinning. Her work is deeply rooted in the honesty of Gothenburg city, the architecture, and the people, as well as in her belief that art should be accessible to everyone. Together, we created the frame Nike Adawi and she brought three Gothenburg motifs to life.

Gothenburg has long been one of Nike’s greatest sources of inspiration. Even before she lived there, the city’s honesty, creativity, and architecture left a lasting impression on her. Today those influences are clearly visible in her city motifs, shaped by people, buildings, and fleeting encounters in the streets.
A central part of Nike’s artistic practice is accessibility. Through a concept she calls Free Art, she gives her work a new life after it leaves the studio by placing it out in the city. Posters that passersby can stop to look at, reflect on, take down, and bring home if they connect with them. In this way, art becomes part of everyday life and accessible for everyone.

We were invited into Nike’s home and studio - a space that truly reflects who she is. Colorful, genuine, warm, and filled with art, it’s a place that radiates creativity and personality. Being there gave us an even deeper connection to her work and the stories behind each piece.

We created a frame inspired by Bob Dylan - Nikes personal favorite, capturing the spirit and freedom of his music. Nike also designed three Gothenburg inspired motifs for us, which we are excited to present as part of Free Art by Nike Adawi - bringing her art out into our resellers stores and the city for everyone to experience and enjoy.

This collaboration will stay close to our hearts. Working with Nike has been an absolute joy. She’s incredibly warm, genuine and full of creativity. We’ve shared many fun moments throughout the process, and seeing her vision come to life has been truly inspiring.
